Man Utd player sends fans into meltdown with transfer ‘hint’ on Instagram
A Manchester United player gave a transfer “hint” during the January window, which caused fans to lose it.
Erik ten Hag’s team, who are currently ranked sixth in the Premier League, has had a challenging season.
Four points behind Arsenal in fourth place are the Red Devils following their 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Many people expected United to improve after they won the Carabao Cup and finished third in the previous campaign.
Their problems have been exacerbated by a lacklustre summer transfer window and multiple injuries to first-team players.
A number of players have been permitted to leave Old Trafford on loan this month, despite how severely their roster has been stretched.
Hannibal Mejbri transferred to Sevilla, while Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho joined Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Facundo Pellistri has not yet left, though he might temporarily move to Granada.
Amad Diallo is another player who is still being linked to a departure.
The 21-year-old came off the bench in last month’s 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest to make his first Premier League game in more than two years.
The player, who played in the Championship on loan with Sunderland last season, is reportedly a fan of Ten Hag’s.
It was claimed on Tuesday night that Middlesbrough was trying to sign Amad to a temporary contract at Riverside Stadium.
Legendary Manchester United player Michael Carrick, who managed Boro, was a coach at the team under Amad.
With a recent Instagram post, the international player from Ivory Coast seems to have refuted the allegation. He posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a kissing emoji wearing a Sunderland shirt.
Someone said, “This means he’s staying.”
Alternatively said, “Ten Hag can’t afford to fumble this.”
“If he went, it would’ve proven Sancho was right,” someone another said.
One person said, “This is why I love him as a player.”
