He wasn’t the worst against Alaves but Ancelotti told him: He won’t play for Real Madrid again

‎Real Madrid nearly squandered a three-goal lead against Deportivo Alaves at the Santiago Bernabéu, with the closing moments of the match becoming tense after conceding two quick goals. Although the team secured the three points, Carlo Ancelotti expressed concern about the team’s performance during that critical period and warned his players against repeating such lapses.

According to the Spanish outlet *Defensa Central*, one player who came under scrutiny after this nervy win was Jesús Vallejo. Brought on as a substitute to give Eder Militao a rest ahead of the upcoming derby, Vallejo’s performance fell short of expectations. Despite receiving support from the fans, Ancelotti was reportedly unhappy with the defender’s display, leading to frustration from the coach.

The report suggests that due to the team’s dip in performance after Vallejo’s introduction, Ancelotti has decided not to rely on him for the rest of the season, hinting at his exclusion from the squad moving forward until his eventual departure from the club.

Vallejo had the opportunity to leave on loan during the summer transfer window but opted to stay, hoping to gain the coach’s confidence. However, this chance now seems to have faded after the Alaves game. The newspaper also noted that Luka Modric attempted to calm Ancelotti’s anger toward Vallejo, but the Croatian midfielder was unsuccessful, and the decision to exclude Vallejo was finalized.
