Barcelona secured a crucial 3-0 victory over Deportivo Alaves on Sunday evening, reinforcing their lead at the top of La Liga. Polish striker Robert Lewandowski was the star of the match, continuing his outstanding form and helping to bring Barcelona’s total to 24 points from 9 games, putting them 3 points ahead of archrival Real Madrid. This win further highlights the team’s strong performance under coach Hansi Flick, who expressed his satisfaction with the result, especially as it comes right before the international break.

Reports suggest that Brazilian winger Rafinha voiced his frustration after Ferran Torres was substituted. Rafinha believes Torres has been undermining the team’s efforts with poor decision-making. As one of Barcelona’s standout players this season, Rafinha reportedly urged club president Joan Laporta to reconsider Torres’ future, claiming his underwhelming form is negatively impacting the squad. He even suggested that if Torres’ performance doesn’t improve, the club might need to consider selling him.

Despite this internal tension, Barcelona remains in a solid position, and with Lewandowski continuing to lead the charge, the team is well-prepared to compete for the La Liga title this season.
