Manchester United: Zidane calls for key Barca player to come

There are rumors suggesting that Zinedine Zidane could be in the running to replace Erik ten Hag as Manchester United’s manager, especially after the club’s shaky start to the season. Zidane, who has been without a managerial job since leaving Real Madrid, may be looking for a new challenge.

Though managing the French national team doesn’t seem likely for now, given Didier Deschamps’ strong support from the French Football Federation, Zidane could explore opportunities with major clubs like Manchester United.

If Zidane were to take the job, it’s reported that he would have specific demands. One such request would be the recruitment of FC Barcelona’s central defender, Jules Kounde, during the winter transfer window.

This would mirror how managers like Thomas Tuchel have previously set conditions before taking on new roles. United, meanwhile, is reportedly evaluating ten Hag’s performance closely, with an ultimatum looming due to the club’s recent struggles.
