LIVERPOOL
Exclusive: According to an expert, Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in moving to the Premier League.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool and Tottenham are two of the teams that have sent scouts to watch Borussia Monchengladbach defender Ko Itakura.
After initially revealing yesterday’s startling news of Liverpool and Spurs interest on his X account, Romano gave some further details about the player’s circumstances in an exclusive interview with CaughtOffside for his Daily Briefing column.
It is unclear if or when more substantial conversations or offers for the Japan international will take place, but the transfer news specialist indicates that Itakura would be eager to join the Premier League, which would be a significant boost to teams like Liverpool and Tottenham.
Itakura has shown promise in the Bundesliga, and it will be intriguing to see how he performs in English football. The 26-year-old is probably a valuable addition to Anfield, where Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk are getting older and Jurgen Klopp could use some younger defensive players.

Tottenham, on the other hand, is now concentrating on Radu Dragusin. However, Romano claims that Tottenham is familiar with Itakura, so it’s possible that he will be near the top of their list should they add more players to the back in the near future.
“Totakura is a big fan of the Premier League, and Tottenham knows him well, but right now they are still focused on Radu Dragusin, who has been talked about for days,” Romano stated.
Liverpool has also dispatched scouts to trail him on several occasions in the past year, so perhaps a club will attempt to talk with Borussia Monchengladbach now or in the summer of next year.
