Unique: Fabrizio Romano explains why Juventus withdrew from the race for the Manchester United star who has agreed to a transfer to another team.
The winger for Manchester United, Jadon Sancho, appears to be getting closer to taking a loan back to his old team, Borussia Dortmund. Fabrizio Romano has provided an explanation for Juventus’ decision to back out of this deal.
Although Sancho had been linked to a loan deal with Juventus, according to Romano, it now appears that the England international will be returning to Germany as he has accepted a return to Dortmund, his former team.
Romano said that negotiations are currently underway for the 23-year-old to transfer to Dortmund after Juventus finally determined they couldn’t finance the deal, in an exclusive interview with CaughtOffside for his Daily Briefing column.
Although Sancho has granted his personal approval for the transfer, talks on the specifics of his salary are still underway, even though the Bundesliga team is unlikely to be able to pay him in full.
Sancho’s first stint at Dortmund showed him to be a really promising talent, and after this challenging time at Old Trafford, he is undoubtedly still young enough to turn his career around.
“Let’s talk about Jadon Sancho first. He’s very certain to leave Manchester United. After his affiliation with the club was severed, he discussed this matter with Erik ten Hag and the entire coaching staff a few months ago, Romano stated.
