Liverpool ‘identify two alternatives’ to replace Jurgen Klopp following Xabi Alonso ‘blow’

As they look to replace Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool has apparently found two candidates to replace Xabi Alonso.
The news that Klopp will leave at the end of the 23–24 season shocked the Anfield team back in January.
After taking over for Brendan Rodgers in 2015, the German stated he was tiring and “could not do the job again and again and again and again.”
Following the release of this shocking information, Liverpool is undoubtedly searching nonstop for the ideal successor.
Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen and a former midfielder for Liverpool, has been strongly associated with the soon-to-be open position. Additionally, Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving Bayern Munich in the summer, is expected to be replaced by the Spaniard.
Alonso might, reportedly, remain at Leverkusen and wait for a position at Real Madrid, the dominant team in Spanish La Liga.
Following this most recent development, Liverpool is said to have found two replacements for Alonso.
The Daily Telegraph claims that the Reds have selected Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann and Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim as backup alternatives for the Spaniard.
Sporting Lisbon is now battling Benfica for the Portuguese league championship under Amorim’s leadership.

In the meanwhile, Nagelsmann hopes to partially restore his standing following his firing by Bayern Munich in March 2023.
Given that Nagelsmann’s contract with the German national team expires at the end of EURO 2024, he would be an easier target to deal with.
Amorim’s contract with Sporting Lisbon expires in two years, therefore if Liverpool wants to entice him to the Liverpool area, they will have to pay him a fee.
In addition to Amorim and Nagelsmann, other players connected to the Anfield position include Thomas Frank, Roberto De Zerbi, Ange Postecoglou, and Zinedine Zidane.
When Liverpool plays Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon, they have the opportunity to capture the first prize of the season.
