Liverpool fans were left disappointed after their team’s performance at Old Trafford, and Jamie Carragher didn’t hold back in his criticism of certain players. Speaking on ‘The Gary Neville Podcast,’ Carragher singled out the attacking players for their lackluster display.

He lamented their failure to capitalize on numerous opportunities, attributing it to a sense of complacency against a perceived weaker Manchester United side.

Despite dominating the game, Liverpool struggled to convert their chances into goals, with only a corner and a penalty finding the back of the net.

The missed opportunities have dealt a blow to Liverpool’s title aspirations in the Premier League, highlighting the importance of efficiency and composure in front of goal.

Carragher emphasized the role of the attacking players in Liverpool’s shortcomings, stating,

“The attacking players have cost Liverpool today. They haven’t done enough and it was almost that feeling that because Manchester United are so poor there’ll always be another chance, it’ll come again.”
