Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool farewell has officially begun.

It is getting really close to the German’s last match.

Wednesday morning marks four days until Jürgen Klopp officially steps down from Liverpool Football Club after eight years, seven months and 12 days.

A lot has to be done before such an important and emotional farewell is to be planned before the last home game of the season against Wolverhampton at 17:00 on Sunday, and now it looks like that is also underway.

During the course of yesterday, several photos and videos emerged from inside Anfield, where the Liverpool manager was photographed and filmed down on the grass and standing up on The Kop.

The Twitter/X account “Anything Liverpool” is one of several that have posted pictures of the German:

“A video filmed from inside Anfield showed Klopp standing on the center line down on the turf. He stared out at an empty The Kop. Another photo showed him standing on The Kop, apparently taking in the surroundings before Sunday’s game. It will be an emotional day so it looks like he’s already busy building up to a tearful farewell,” writes the Liverpool Echo.

The video from Anfield probably also had something to do with the fact that Jürgen Klopp had invited many of his employees (not coaching staff) to take a team photo with him at The Kop.

The Reds have an insane number of good people behind them, although we often only get to see the German together with the players and the coaching staff.

For us supporters, the big day is of course Sunday, when Jürgen Klopp walks out in front of the Anfield crowd in his last game as Liverpool manager.
