Manchester United are on the brink of completing their first summer sale, negotiating the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Galatasaray. According to the Turkish publication Fanatik, an agreement has been reached between all parties involved, with only the transfer fee left to be finalized.

United, aiming to bolster their summer transfer budget, have set Wan-Bissaka’s asking price at €15 million (£12.6 million). However, the Turkish champions are reluctant to meet this valuation and are hoping to negotiate a fee in the range of €7-10 million (£5.9-£8.4 million), aligning with Wan-Bissaka’s own request for a reduced price tag.

### Is Wan-Bissaka’s Departure Justified?

If this deal goes through, many fans might argue that United are being shortchanged. At 26 years old, Wan-Bissaka is not only a starter but also one of the top one-on-one defenders in Europe. Selling him for a mere £6 million might seem unwise, especially when his defensive prowess could still provide valuable depth to the squad.

Nonetheless, Wan-Bissaka, who reportedly earns £90,000 per week, might be pushing for an exit, compelling the board to approve his transfer. In such a scenario, it would be prudent for him to insist that Galatasaray meet a reasonable fee for his services.
