🚨⚽“I never wanted to come to Manchester United until they did what they did. After what I saw, I change my mind immediately. It’s crazy and I have never seen such in any club before. I am sure I will win titles here”-Manuel Ugarte finally reveals why he joined Manchester United from PSG as he promises the fans more trophies

Manuel Ugarte has hinted at his upcoming move to Manchester United via a social media post that has already drawn the attention of a former United player. Journalist Duncan Castles reports that United have reached an agreement with PSG for the Uruguayan midfielder. The transfer deal is expected to be worth an initial €50 million, with an extra €10 million contingent on performance-related add-ons. Ugarte is anticipated to travel to England soon to undergo a medical examination.
Once finalized, Ugarte will become United’s fifth addition this summer, joining Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Noussair Mazraoui, and Matthijs de Ligt. The 23-year-old sparked rumors about his impending move by sharing a cryptic eyes emoji on social media, which quickly received 34,000 likes in less than an hour. His national teammate and former United winger, Facundo Pellistri, replied to the post with his own emojis, including a red heart. Pellistri recently departed United to sign with Greek club Panathinaikos.
The negotiations for Ugarte’s transfer were reportedly challenging, with PSG initially demanding a fixed fee of €60 million. This prompted United to temporarily withdraw from discussions, but they later resumed talks and finalized a deal that includes add-ons. PSG also secured a 10% sell-on clause as part of the agreement.
United’s pursuit of Ugarte was facilitated by their decision to sell Scott McTominay to Napoli for €30 million. McTominay’s departure, pending the agreement of personal terms, will end his 22-year tenure at Manchester United, where he came through the academy ranks and became an important first-team player under several managers, including Erik ten Hag.
