Man Utd Want a €60m Roma Star – But Rashford’s Salary Is Forcing a Loan Solution

Manchester United Still Prioritising Manu Kone as Midfield Target

Manchester United have not given up on Manu Kone.

The Red Devils still view the French midfielder as a top target to upgrade their midfield. Kone is currently valued by AS Roma at around €60 million.

Roma are under pressure to balance their finances to meet FFP regulations, but have no intention of lowering the asking price. Besides United, Al Ahli are also pursuing Kone, while the player himself is reportedly prioritising a move to the Premier League.

To reduce the transfer fee, United are considering including Marcus Rashford in the deal. However, Rashford’s high wages present a major obstacle, making a loan option with United covering part of the salary a more realistic alternative.

Final Thoughts

Manu Kone remains a key target for Manchester United as they look to strengthen the midfield. Roma’s valuation and competing interest from Al Ahli mean negotiations will not be straightforward. The potential inclusion of Marcus Rashford could help bridge the gap, but wage issues make a permanent deal complicated. United’s persistence shows how highly they rate the Frenchman.
