Fans think Jurgen Klopp has accidentally confirmed his successor at Liverpool, he called him ‘incredible

It’s possible that Jurgen Klopp chose his successor at Liverpool after calling one candidate “incredible.”

After nearly eight years in charge, Klopp declared last month that he was “running out of energy” and would be leaving his position as manager of the Reds.

His unexpected decision has given Liverpool with a difficult choice to make in selecting his replacement.

Since joining the team in 2015, the 56-year-old has completely transformed them, and with a quadruple still up for grabs, he will leave them in the greatest possible position.

Numerous individuals have been speculated to be vying for the position, but supporters and even Klopp himself seem to favour one candidate over another.

A number of elite clubs throughout Europe have expressed interest in former Liverpool player Xabi Alonso after he achieved success with Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen.

After 21 games, they are still undefeated and lead the league by five points above Bayern Munich in second place.

He seems like Klopp thinks he would be the perfect replacement. The German, according to The Mail, called Alonso a “stand-out” manager who embodies the next generation.

Klopp said, “Xabi is doing an incredible job.”

“The next generation is already here, but the ‘dinosaurs’ like Ancelotti, Mourinho, Guardiola, and me won’t be around for another 20 years. In that regard, Xabi stands out, in my opinion.

“He was a great player who was also a great coach, and the club he assembled is outstanding. not just the number of points but also their style of play.

Given that Klopp’s achievements with Borussia Dortmund in Germany helped him land the position on Merseyside in the first place, it’s a well-traveled route.

He is obviously a fan of Alonso’s style of play at Leverkusen, therefore it would be surprising if Liverpool disregarded their iconic manager and selected the Spaniard as their first pick.

It would seem that he has merited the opportunity to choose his successor at Anfield, and there appears to be a clear favourite.
