Liverpool flop booted out the club by Jurgen Klopp has played just 80 minutes all season

As part of a significant roster restructure, Liverpool released a total of 11 players during the summer transfer window.

Specifically, a significant midfield reorganisation was implemented to accommodate players such as Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo, and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho joined the Saudi Pro League, while James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Brighton and Besiktas, respectively.

Werder Bremen welcomed Naby Keita, a £52 million acquisition from RB Leipzig in 2018, back to the Bundesliga.

Due to injury, the 29-year-old missed an incredible 95 games during his five years at Liverpool, but he has struggled since returning to Germany.

Injury issues have continued to plague him; in all competitions, Keita has only played 80 minutes.

He made his league debut in September with a one-minute cameo against Koln, following four games lost due to an abductor injury sustained before a preseason friendly.

Keita would later participate in losses to Hoffenheim and Darmstadt, but he hasn’t appeared in any games since the latter match because of a combination of illness, injuries, and Guinea’s AFCON responsibilities.

Furthermore, according to a recent DeichStube study, the issues are far more widespread.

Club executives reportedly worry about the former Red Bull Salzburg player’s bad timekeeping and behaviour, as he has reportedly shown up late for meetings and declined to attend sponsored activities.

Although he inked a three-year contract with Werder in the summer, it doesn’t seem likely that he will be around after this season.

The player recently talked about how he cried when he found out that Jurgen Klopp was leaving Liverpool.

As per RMC Sport, he said: “I’m not on the (social media) networks but when they told me, I had tears in my eyes

“He took me to Liverpool as his son and I consider him my dad. I wish him the best for the rest of his life.

“I’ll try to write to him afterwards. Such is life, I bumped into him and I wasn’t disappointed. We got trophies.”
