Manchester City Star Julian Alverez will become the most hated City player after he signed a contract of five years with shocking La Liga rival Club

Manchester City is still deliberating whether to promote an internal player to fill the void left by Julian Alvarez. The decision remains pending, so the final outcome is yet to be determined.
Among the internal candidates, Oscar Bobb has stood out. The 21-year-old impressed during Manchester City’s preseason tour in the United States, contributing significantly with three assists and two goals in four high-scoring friendlies. His strong preseason performance and a solid track record from the previous season, where he made 26 appearances (with only seven as a substitute), position him as a strong contender for a more prominent role this season.
James McAtee has also shown potential, with notable contributions including assists against Chelsea and a goal against Milan. Nico O’Reilly has made an impact as well, assisting Bobb’s first goal against Celtic and scoring against Barcelona. Both McAtee and O’Reilly are expected to play important roles in the upcoming season.
Phil Foden is anticipated to take on a larger role this season compared to his previous involvement.
New acquisitions like Savinho are expected to have a chance to demonstrate their skills in the Community Shield against Manchester United. Claudio Echeverri, currently on loan at River Plate, will also be evaluated for his potential contribution.
Manager Pep Guardiola has stated that if a player were to leave, the team would consider making additions. However, finding the right player by the end of the month might be challenging. Guardiola noted that the team’s structure will largely remain the same as last season, suggesting that there will be no major new signings beyond the £64 million budget or the funds from the sales of Sergio Gomez, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Tommy Doyle, and Yan Couto.
