Manchester United fans think that one player may finally be able to reach his potential following Ruben Amorim’s dismissal.
A dramatic night of Premier League action saw 16 of the 20 teams in England’s top-flight in action ahead of the FA Cup third round this weekend.
Perhaps the biggest fixture of the evening saw Manchester United travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley in their first match since the dismissal of manager Amorim on Monday.
While the club search for their next permanent manager, club legend Darren Fletcher led United from the dugout for the match as an interim manager.
And it appears that fans are happy with his start as United’s manager as they’ve credited him with finally helping one of their star players find form.
Over the summer United spent a massive £236million to rejuvenate their squad with several new signings, including a brand new attack made up of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.
While Cunha and Mbeumo have both impressed throughout their first season at Old Trafford, Sesko has failed to make his mark at United so far.
But it looks like the Slovenian striker may finally be ready to show why United, as he scored two goals during an impressive performance against Burnley.
Reacting to Sesko’s performance, one fan wrote on X: ” That Sesko goal was better than anything you saw under Amorim! Two training session with Fletcher.”
Another added: “Amorim’s tactics almost made everyone believed sesko is bad.”
While one claimed: “Incredible how good Sesko is when you actually give him chances in front of goal, I know what a concept.”
Ahead of the match, Sesko had scored just two goals in 17 games under Amorim, a tally which he has now doubled in only one game under Fletcher.
